Please read these terms carefully and discuss anything that is unclear to you.

Fees and Payment of Fees

You must pay an enrolment fee of $50.00 at the time of enrolment. This is a one-off, non-refundable fee.

You need to pay fees a week in advance via direct debit, cash, cheque, or Eftpos. You must pay fees for every day your child is enrolled, including any days your child is absent.

Late Payment of Fees

We may apply a 10% penalty to your account if you make a late payment. Failure to pay fees may lead to the cancellation of your enrolment. If we need to collect any unpaid balances, you will be responsible for all debt collection costs.

20 Hours Early Childhood Education (ECE)

We provide 20 hours ECE for 3-6 year-old children. Your child will become eligible on their third birthday. We offer 20 hours of ECE for up to six hours per day. Since Treetops ELC is open for 10.5 hours per day, we will charge fees for the hours not covered by the 20 hours ECE provision.

Your child can attend the centre for five sessions per week (4 hours per day) at no cost. This includes either morning or afternoon tea, but we do not provide lunch.

Work and Income

If you receive a WINZ subsidy, you are still responsible for paying your account in advance and covering any portion not paid by the subsidy. You must inform Work and Income of any changes to your circumstances or your child’s attendance. You must also notify Work and Income of any benefits you receive through the 20 hours ECE scheme.

Collection of Children

The Ministry of Education licenses our centre to operate from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday, and we must close promptly at that time. If unforeseen circumstances prevent you from picking up your child on time, please contact the centre.

You may only collect your child if your name is listed on the enrolment form. If you pick up your child late, we will charge a late pick-up fee of $25.00 for every 15 minutes after the 6:00 pm closing time.

Holidays and Absences

We will charge you for statutory holidays if they fall on a day your child is booked to attend. After attending the centre for 3 months, your child will be entitled to 15 days per year at 50% fees. You must apply for this in writing at least 2 weeks before the first day of the holiday. You should discuss any extended absences with the centre manager.

Changes and Notice Periods

You must give us two weeks’ written notice if you wish to terminate or change a permanent booking. You can obtain change of timetable forms at reception.

Please inform Work and Income of any changes you make.
